Sunday, August 7th
I went to have lunch with DD and my friend Chris at my favorite pizza place, BJ’s Pizza. I met him when I was at Cal State Long Beach. He is an awesome pianist.
Then went to see Magic (Scott who I had nicknamed way back in high school) at his B-Day party and we caught up.
Then drove down to San Diego to see Kimberly and her guy. Hung out and talked.
Monday, August 8th
Kimberly and I did music together all afternoon. I played piano while she sang just like old times. It was really fun and I really like make music together with her.
For dinner I met my friend Giobbe who I have known since 1st grade. Now that is a long time. He also lives in San Diego. We went and ate at a Mexican place. I had not had California Mexican it awhile. Then back to Kimberly’s to get my stuff and say bye.
Tuesday, August 9th
I drove to Hesperia (ya this is a ways from Long Beach) to see Heather. Someone I had not seen on over 20 years. We recently connected on facebook and we really wanted to see each other. Hung out with all afternoon. It was really great catching up with her.
Then made my way to Riverside to see Nicole who I had not seen since high school. Had pizza and she have me a little tour of downtown Riverside. It was really great catching up with her also.
Wednesday, August 10th
I went to LA to meet Dustin for lunch. He bought me lunch for my birthday at a pretty good sandwich place. I had seen him more recently then my friends on Tuesday. We use to play percussion together in a concert band. He played the drum set mostly. It was great to see him and catch up.
Then DD and I went to Ruby’s on the pier in Seal Beach. Wanted to see the sun go bloop in the ocean. Instead it went ploop behind the marine layer. Still was nice watching the ocean while eating a chicken burger.
Then went to go see my favorite lighthouse, Point Fermin, under the moon.
Thusday, August 11th
Had lunch with Bonnie at Souplantation again. I really miss this place. Then hung out with Bonnie at her place.
Then went with DD to one of the places I used to regularly go to when I lived there. I call it the Reef.
We ate at Fuego which is South American Food. Really good and and a nice view to look at.
Friday, August 12th
Finally came home after 3 weeks of traveling, driving, eating and hanging out with family and friends.
