Wow. It has been awile since I have written here. Life has been crazy and struggles lately and have only had time to make quick posts to facebook.
It is time for the summer trip to Spokane but this time there is a dark cloud waiting for me in Spokane. (Email me for details). So I have a layover in Houston and ate at the Mango Taco Truck. Thought was going to be typical airport food but I was wrong. It was good Mexican tacos. Flavorful and spicy.
Then to the plane to take me to LAX. I get on and the plane is delayed for take off. Why was it delayed? Because the catering for the plane was late . . . AN HOUR DELAY FOR FOOD?? We are delayed for the over priced crappy airplane food. Who cares and who gives a crap? Who buys that crap anyways. I would have rather arrived to LAX on time.
DD picked me up at LAX and driving on the traffic filled “parking lots” that other people call freeways I was listening to the Kings and Devils in game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals. The game was tied 1 to 1 and it was 3rd period. We finally arrived at Bj’s and sat at the bar area in front of the big tv. We made it just a few minutes before the end of the period in which the game was still tied. I had my home brewed root beer and our awesome pizza arrived just in time for the overtime. The game was intense and was wondering how many people here were Kings fans and were watching the game. Then Kopitar made an awesome short handed goal and the whole place cheered. What a great sound to be with other Kings fans.
Then to DD’s so he can finish packing. What a great evening!
