Fancy B-Day Party

We all went to the Cheesecake Factory.  It seems to be one of the places we have to go to while we are here.  We order lunch, eat it and then have to order some cheesecake.  I got the Chocolate Tuxedo Cheesecake.  So yummy.  Then back to DD’s.  We are sort of resting up for tomorrow since that will be a big walking day.  AD and I did go out to get DD a present.  They do not seem to sell the digital picture frames in the stores anymore.  Now you can get them online but most of them are not that good and we would like to see them before we get them.  So we decided to buy an inexpensive android tablet and use that as a digital picture frame.  Besides, it will be so much easier to load the pictures onto it.  So we went to Best Buy, nothing, then to Big Lots, nothing, then to Staples and we found one.  They actually had to go in back to get one.  Now to find a case.  So we went back to Big Lots to get a cheap case that could have the tablet stand.  Got one and it did not fit the 7″ tablet.  Then went back in and found one that worked.

Around 7p, Kimberly and her guy David arrived to pick me up.  DD, AD, Bonnie and Mom all said hi gave Kimberly a hug.  Then off to my friend PK’s B-Day party.

Ok, Kimberly is my ex-girlfriend who is now my best friend.  We dated 20 years ago back in college.  PK was her ex-husband before Kimberly and I dated and are still friends.  So I am going to my ex-girlfriends, ex-husbands party with with my ex-girlfriend and current husband.  This really sounds like something on a sitcom.

We arrive to PK’s parents house which is huge and stopped at the front door when there is valet parking.  Lots of food with pasta and Indian dishes.  They had samosas.  I have not had those is years.  I had 3 and they were very good.  We sat with Jenny and her guy and talked.  It was great to see her again.  After cake there were poetry readings.  Each person had a chance to read one of their poems or read one they liked for another poet.  Some were good, some not so much and some were funny.  I read two of mine, This Desolate Enigma of My Existence and The Night Sky.  I later also read The Ocean.  When the party was winding down, Kimberly and I sang and played the piano.  We did the music we always do.  At the end, PK order an Uber car to take me home.  It was a fun party.
