New Years on the Queen Mary

We went to the Queen Mary for the New Years celebration.  DD and I had gone to this back in 1999 and thought it would be fun like back then.  We were kind of wrong.  First there were not enough variety of music in the different rooms.  In 1999, there was a swing room, salsa room, a 80’s rock room and probably a DJ room with modern stuff.  This year there was 3 DJ rooms, a country band in a really small room, a salsa room and a jazz quartet consisting of a clarinet, 2 guitars and a bass in the tea room.  No room to dance but it was the one of the few places to sit that you did not have to pay over $100 to be a VIP.  Also way too many couples.  In 1999, DD and I danced with a lot of cute girls.  Did see 2 firework shows.  One was at 9p at the fake lighthouse and the other was at midnight above the bow of the ship.  My word for the new year is “Drive”.  May I have the drive to do many cool things.
