Creative Salon

We all kind of spit up for part of the day.  JK spent time with her Mom; AD, DD, my nephew and Bonnie went to El Dorado Nature Center and I hung out with Kimberly.  Kimberly came by around 12:30p.  I played her some of my recent pieces which she really liked.  She and I went to El Torito near the Lakewood Mall.  It was her treat which was nice of her.

We then went to the Seal Beach Pier and walked up and down it.  Then walked around the shops and went into my favorite store with shells and stuff.  I also buy blue tacky sunglasses (what Kimberly called them).  I got an orange and an orange and black one from there during Christmas Vacation.

We then drove to DD’s where they just came back from church at 6:30p.  I had my other Voodoo donut and JK gave one of the extras to Kimberly.  Then it was salon time.  My nephew did a skit of being trapped behind a door I was in it.  (He asked me to be a part of it.)  Mom played an original guitar piece.  It was cool to hear her play again.  Kimberly sang and I played DD’s keyboard for “And So It Goes” by Billy Joel.  Then AD used his iPad for what he called a DJ thing.  Then I had JK join Kimberly and I with “Memory,” and “The Rose” in harmony.  They did a good job with the harmony.  And other songs Kimberly and I use to do while AD added a drum background as well as some accompaniment with his iPad.

My nephew played his recital piece and then wanted us to sing Mr. Roboto.  So AD found a Karaoke version on You Tube on his phone and projected it onto the smart TV.  AD, JK, my nephew, Kimberly and I got into it while DD, Mom and Bonnie watched the entertainment.  The next one just happened to be “Living on a Prayer” by Bon Jovi.  Then JK wanted to do the 2 duets from Grease.  It was 2 much fun.  We ended with “Love Shack.”  It was so silly and so much fun.  It was then 10p and it was time for Kimberly to start her drive home.  What a fun day and a fun and silly ending.
