Wilderness River Boating in Haines, Alaska

Today we landed in Haines, Alaska.  A small town of about 2200.  Had lunch.  Then walked off the ship and walked around their small downtown.  Then walked back to the port to meet with our excursion at 3:35p.  Took a half hour bus ride to a river to where our flat bottom boats are docked.  We were provided some lunch-dinner of hot dogs, beans, chips, cookies and lemonade.  We were also provided extra jackets, ponchos and gloves.  It was lightly raining so I could not use the big camera and it was not the experience we had yesterday.  But we were in the middle of the wilderness that is only accessible by boat.  Some really great views.  After a 2 hour boat ride we docked and took the bus ride back.  The cruise was suppose to leave at 7:30p.  We arrived at the dock to board at 7:45p.  They had to wait for us.  When we launched, and we got to see some amazing panoramic views from deck 15.  We even saw a glacier with a waterfall falling down away from it.  What sights I have been able to see.
