Today we left our hotel and drove to Pensacola. Ate at a fish restaurant. I had a sampler with salmon, fried oysters and blackened shrimp. We then went to the Pensacola Lighthouse which is in a Navel Base.
DD was not feeling well so I went up the lighthouse myself. It was a harder lighthouse to climb since the spiraling staircase did not have a landing anywhere on the way up. The 2nd stairs to reach the room with the Fresnel lens at the top from the stairs was even smaller with a low cealing to enter the lens room. Once I ducked under the moving lens and walked out the door to the balcony, the sight was spectacular.
It was then time to leave Florida.
And enter Alabama.
Grabbed a hotel in Mobile. Tired. Night.
